WIDER AND MARC PAJOT TOGETHER FOR THE "ECO-YACHT" PROJECT

Marc Pajot through his Pajot Custom Yachts and Marcello Maggi, the majority shareholder of Wider Srl, have announced their new partnership for building of a catamaran 110’ of the famous Designer’s project called "Eco-Yacht". 

A 33,50 meters lenght and 14,25 meters width yacht whose production will be started soon.

Marc Pajot asked Wider to be his partner thanks to the top quality of its yachts and, mostly, to the "born-electric" vision that is a Wider must.

The strong Wider team know-how, coming from an experience of a decade history, and the last built yachts, provided of the "Wider Electric Management System", a particular and unique system able to manage the electricity onboard for propulsion, battery charging and hotel uses, connected in serial, will be part of the technologies that will be provided in the Eco-Yacht Wider/Pajot. Thanks to this exclusive technology Wider has got a quite big number of awards together with the "RINA Green Plus". Wider has entrusted the electric propulsion engineering activities and the design support for the interior of the new catamaran, respectively, to Luciano Cardini and Michele Lubrano and their teams of the Engineering Department and Style Department of the company.

WIDER E MARC PAJOT INSIEME PER IL CATAMARANO ECO-YACHT 110'

Marc Pajot con la sua Pajot Custom Yachts e Marcello Maggi, socio di maggioranza assoluta di Wider Srl, annunciano la loro partnership per la costruzione del catamarano 110' relativo al progetto presentato dal noto Designer e denominato "Eco-Yacht". 

Con una lunghezza f.t. di 33,50 metri per 14,25 di larghezza massima, lo yacht vedrà presto l'inizio della produzione della sua prima unità.

Marc Pajot ha affidato a Wider tale compito proprio per la qualità di costruzione delle proprie imbarcazioni e, soprattutto, per la visione "born-electric" che caratterizza il marchio Wider.

Le forti competenze tecniche e costruttive del team di Wider, sperimentate in un decennio di storia, e le ultime due costruzioni dotate del "Wider Electric Management System", un sistema di gestione dell'utilizzo di energia elettrica per propulsione, carica batterie e servizi hotel dello yacht, gestita in modalità seriale, saranno parte della tecnologia che caratterizzerà l'Eco-Yacht Wider/Pajot. Per tale tecnologia esclusiva, Wider si è vista ricevere diversi riconoscimenti, tra i quali anche la certificazione "RINA Green Plus". Wider ha affidato l'ingegneria della propulsione seriale elettrica e il supporto del design degli interni del nuovo catamarano, rispettivamente a Luciano Cardini e Michele Lubrano e i loro rispettivi team del Centro Ingegneria e Centro Stile della società.

WIDER PRESENTA IL TERMOIONICO: IL FUTURO È SEMPRE PIÙ VICINO

Ieri pomeriggio, durante la prima giornata del Superyacht Design Festival che si sta svolgendo a Cortina d'Ampezzo (Veneto, Italia), Marcello Maggi, Presidente WIDER, ha annunciato lo sviluppo di una tecnologia rivoluzionaria che porterà a un sistema ancora più green: il convertitore termoionico (in inglese, Thermionic Converters o TC). L'annuncio è avvenuto durante un tavolo di discussione dal titolo "Il futuro della sala macchine" al quale Marcello Maggi è stato invitato come relatore, in quanto WIDER è stato pioniere nell'aver applicato il sistema propulsivo ibrido seriale ai suoi Superyacht divenendo quindi il primo cantiere ad utilizzare questa propulsione nel mondo della nautica da diporto.

Yesterday afternoon, during the first day of the Superyacht Design Festival in Cortina d'Ampezzo (Veneto, Italy), WIDER's President Marcello Maggi announced a revolutionary technology: the Thermionic Converters (TCs). As pioneers in their field, WIDER having introduced the serial hybrid propulsion system in their yacht builds before anyone else in the industry, Maggi was invited to be on the panel for the breakout session "The future of the engine room".

WIDER YACHTS' CYCLE WITH THE CHAMPIONS 2019

On behalf of WIDER YACHTS, Marcello Maggi is taking part in the Cycle with the Champions event from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th October.

The 151 mile journey will see him cycle from the truffle centre of Italy to the finish line in the French Riviera. He will begin the challenge in Italy, the route will see the team undulate through stunning Italian and French landscapes, take in breathtaking views and accomplish challenging climbs before reaching the magnificent Monte Carlo.

WIDER OFFICIALLY UNVEILS THEIR NEW PROJECTS AT THE MONACO YACHT SHOW 2019

On the evening of the opening day of the 29th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, the Italian nautical company WIDER presented their new projects. During a press conference in the beautiful Hotel Hermitage in Eze, Marcello Maggi, Philip Zepter and Tiziano Giovannetti revealed to the press what they were working on for months. This was their first official public appearance after the recent acquisition in July.

A 54m yacht's project, WIDER 180 has already started and the first cut of the hull is planned at the beginning of the next year with a delivery foreseen for February 2022...
