With so much attention being paid to the sensational WIDER 150 it would easy to forget that an even bigger superyacht is in construction in WIDER’s state of the art facility in Ancona. Many of the features that make the WIDER 165 stand out from the crowd are already taking shape; components for the forward helicopter pad have arrived in the shipyard and are being fitted to the yacht, and all of the opening terraces and platforms have now been installed. The WIDER 165 will in fact have two opening terraces for the owner to enjoy, one from the master stateroom’s study on the port side and the other in the gym to starboard.
At the aft section of the vessel the WIDER beach is taking shape: similar to the WIDER 150 this wonderful area for relaxation and easy access to the sea has been taken one step further with the addition of the space for a spa as well as the trade mark wet launching system for the WIDER 32 that converts into a 7m swimming pool. At the bow, the plunge pool and seating area are taking shape, situated forward of the wheelhouse and aft of the expansive helicopter pad.
It is worth noting too that very high levels of acoustic insulation have been fitted to the lower deck, along with extensive anti vibration measures. This remarkable level of dedication to eradicate noise and vibration from the yacht resulted in the WIDER 150 receiving the first ever Class Annotation of 100/100 for RINA’s Comfort Class. The WIDER 165 is being built to match her smaller sibling’s record-breaking level of achievement.
