Wider 165 Progress Report

Juan Balaguer, COO of the WIDER Superyacht Division, reports that steady progress is being made on the construction of the WIDER 165 ‘Cecilia’. Designed to incorporate personal water toys as well as a WIDER 32 tender, ‘Cecilia’ has subtle differences to her smaller sibling whilst retaining the distinctive styling and award-winning innovations.

The various doors and hatches that make the WIDER superyachts so unique have already been fitted and tested for size, and some have now been removed for fairing. Much of the hull and most of the superstructure has already been faired, in preparation of priming and final painting. This, together with the levelling of outside surfaces in preparation for the teak decking, will give a finished look to the yacht’s exterior.

Inside the insulation has been fitted to the lower and main deck, and the dividing bulkheads have been fitted to the lower deck. Visitors to the shipyard can walk through the yacht and appreciate the generous volumes of the guest cabins as well as the flowing layout and attention to detail paid to even hidden features on board.

WIDER 165 “Cecilia” is scheduled for launch in Q1 2018.
