The countdown to the mid May launch has firmly begun. Activity at the shipyard has moved up a further level as the list of jobs to be completed are ticked off before the arrival of the trolleys which will manoeuvre the WIDER 165 (see Video here of last move) from the shipyard the 750m to the basin where she will be lowered gently into the water for the first time…
“The biggest outward sign of the readiness to launch is the shiny white paint job to the hull, completed just over a week ago… This is the tip of the iceberg as we complete the multitude of details to ensure that we achieve our planned launch in just over 2 weeks’ time.” said Stefano Talamonti, WIDER Chief Operations Officer.
From detailed outfitting of the owner’s cabin to painting the special Elastomer coating in the pool of the beach club – a feature across the WIDER range – there are tradesman working across all decks to put finishing touches to the WIDER 165 to ensure commissioning time after launch is kept to a minimum.
“Interest in the 165 has increased significantly in the months leading up to the launch. We are working with a number of well qualified prospects on her sale as well as future projects. We are confident that she will be sold soon.” said Jeremy Roche, Sales & Marketing Director.
The WIDER 165, project ‘Cecilia’, is currently available for sale at 30m euro and is scheduled for delivery in time for the summer and will be on display at the Monaco Boat Show in September. For further information please email sales@wider-yachts.com.
